Many people have a desire to see the world or have a particular destination they one day dream of visiting? There is nothing more exciting than crossing that dream vacation off your list or completing something daring. What’s on your bucket list?
If photo ops with the Leaning Tower of Pisa, Island hopping in Greece or walking down Rodeo Drive in Hollywood comes to mind, you’re among the many. We all have dreams, ambitions and goals. Some big, some small but each one should inspire you to get out there and take on the world. My favorite resource for scoping out some of the world’s greatest treasures is the UNESCO world heritage sites. I seem to prefer those outlandish destinations that most people have not had the opportunity to visit and destinations that have been untouched by the overwhelming influx of tourists and western development.
Over the past few years, I have developed a Bucket list that seems to grow with time and slowly but surely I have had the opportunity to cross off a number of these desires. Some items are bigger than others and may take time to accomplish but it is always good to have something to strive for in life. I find that with each week I may write down new goals, that next great adventure or even find myself in situations that end up on the list.
I would like to share my list which consists of over 400 items and encourage each of you to write one of your own if you haven’t already! This list is continually being updated and things will be added to the list. Suggestions for additions are greatly appreciated and I am always looking for a challenge. To see the items I have completed, please go to the list of COMPLETED BUCKET LIST items for details.

Daaaaamn that’s a hell of a bucket list – and it’s making me feel unhealthy haha! The only sports related one I have is running the Marathon du Médoc in Bordeaux, and that’s only because you can eat cheese and drink wine along the way!
This is a great list….although I’d have to say PLEASE don’t visit North Korea as all the money you spend on a tour there (where you wouldn’t see anything new anyway) would just go to an evil regime that starves its people and denies international aid for civilians (instead, giving food to the military).
Sorry for that last bum note, but I feel VERY strongly about tourism in North Korea.
To end on a happy and inquisitive note, how many languages can you say “hello” in so far? I’ve got hello (English), zdravsveetay (Russian), bonjour (French), ciao (Italian), hola (Spanish), annyeonghaseyo (Korean), nihao (Chinese), aloha (Hawaiian), guten tag (German), merhaba (Turkish) and djien dobry (Polish). So that’s 11 for me!
And YES to the Olympics – I’m kinda bummed out that I’m missing it in my home country (the UK) as it may never happen again during my lifetime. Anyhow, that’s just more of an incentive to go see it in Rio de Janeiro in 2016 😉

Lol…there are probably even more things I really want to do by simply stopped at 350. I would have to say I am not a fan of running long distances (they only reason why It’s on the list) but for Cheese and Wine, I am pretty sure it would have already been crossed off by now!
As for North Korea, I find it politically interesting and more as a unattainable place to go. After reading some case-studies and developing a greater understanding of the DMZ and the human rights violations that are occurring I don’t find Kim Jong Un very fondly. Thanks for the heads up though, I was unaware of this!
And as for my “Hello’s”: Marhaba (Arabic/Turkish), Dobar dan/Zdravo (Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian/Macedonian), Ni hao (Chinese), Bonjour (French), Guten Tag (German), Yiasou (Greek), Namaste (Hindi), Ohayou Gozaimasu (Japanese), Buna ziua (Romanian), Hola (Spanish) & Hello (English). I am at 13 so far unless you don’t count the fact that Zdravo is Hello in 4+ different languages!
And I agree, I love London! I visited a few times and saw when they were building the Olympic Stadium. It would be amazing to see it no
Thanks Tom for taking the time to check out my blog! See you on Twitter =)
